Tickets for the biggest Boston concerts typically go on sales many months before the actual event and sell out within a few hours.
For big shows by famous performers such as Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and the Eagles, you're not likely to find discount or cheap tickets but most fans consider these concerts worth every penny.
For ticket prices that will leave some money in your wallet, try Boston's mid-sized venues such as House of Blues, Paradise Rock Club, and the Blue Hills Bank (formerly Bank of America) Pavilion.
Boston's thriving indie music scene centers around local clubs and bars which sometimes charge a small cover. Try Church and Bill's Bar in Fenway, The Beehive in the South End, and for mostly Irish music, the Black Rose near Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
